My adaptation of a 17th-century painting in Rococo style, depicting the portrait of a young woman with fan.
I turned it into a Trompe-l'oeil by adding shadows.
Trompe-l'oeil is a French term meaning 'to deceive the eye' and refers to a style of art that creates optical depth illusions on a two-dimensional surface.
The lady looks at us mischievously from behind the frame around the painting.
