This is the cartridge case of one of the most famous types , almost legendary ammunition for a handgun, the calibre .45 cartridge. Slightly larger, namely the calibre .50, then it is used in machine guns to shoot down aircraft, among other things. This calibre is known from the westerns "How the west was won"
Especially in this day and age, the question is who is shooting at whom and why and the question remains with me, where did the bullet end up...... I hope it didn't hit a child or or other innocent person. I hope one day there will come a time when reason will win out and the last shot will have been fired and everyone can be safe.
This cartridge case was photographed against a dark, shiny background with only a flash. The effect of the flash is absorbed by the dark background while the yellow colour of the casing is reflected Also, a reflection of the casing in the shiny background is created. The bottom stamp in the sleeve bottom is readable ..,
