The Philips fruit garden is an orchard created by Philips, and nowadays part of a green area northwest of Eindhoven, located at the Oirschotsedijk 14a.
In the 1930s, the Philips fruit garden was created on land owned by the Philips family, as a job-creation project. This allowed a number of Philips employees to continue working even during the crisis years and it also provided fruit as a contribution to the healthy diet of the Philips workers.
Later, the Philips fruit garden fell into disrepair, only to be restored to its former glory. In 2008 a visitor center, a pancake house, a regional store, a playground were opened and nowadays all kinds of activities and courses for children and adults are organized there.
