Burning stubble in Niger

The photos I took are for about people and animals. Sometimes you come across a hamlet while driving the jeep through the wilderness. We did not encounter Boko Haram but being on your guard is not a bad thing. The people there also just have to survive of course and are vulnerable. Water and fire are important things if you want to survive. The little food is taken from the land if it has not been eaten by locusts. In the background, we can just barely see a well where water is collected. You meet as villagers and then the women can chat for a while. I found them to be friendly and had only positive experiences there. This photo does bring all the quirkiness back together a bit.
