I love nature and I get a lot of inspiration from it. I never tire of experiencing nature with all its life, smells and colours. With my photography, I try to capture beautiful nature. Sometimes as a landscape, but more often I photograph a beautiful flower, a beautiful leaf, a tree trunk and a mushroom. Insects, such as butterflies and beetles I also love to capture. The closer you get to the subject the more fascinating I find it. You then see the hairs, but also the colours that you cannot normally see with the naked eye.
What you see in the photo are the beautiful red leaves of the dogwood. I portrayed these with a macro lens as a still life on an anthracite background. The leaves are still wet from the rain. The dogwood's stems turn bright red in winter.
