Aeschylus or Aeschylos (Eleusis, c. 525 BC - Gela, 456 BC) was the oldest of the three main Greek tragedy poets: Sophocles was one generation younger, Euripides two.
Of his approximately 90 plays, only seven have survived from the poet. The central theme is that of man who violates the divine laws and thereby incurs guilt on himself and his descendants.
Pierre-Auguste Renoir (Limoges, France, 25 February 1841 - Cagnes-sur-Mer, 3 December 1919) was a French impressionist painter.
