The Noordwaard polder in the Biesbosch is flooded by the excess water of the Merwede river, under the control of the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management. On a mound on the Muggenwaard, which was built especially for this type of occasion, some residents of this polder have a good overview of the rising water. The photo was taken during a heavy hailstorm on 11 February 2020 and converted into a sepia variant.
