About ‘echo of the channel’ by Nordlicht Atelier

This work captures the iconic symbol of Venice in a timeless and highly aesthetic composition. At its centre is the striking silhouette of a gondolier calmly steering his boat through the dark waters of a canal. He is positioned directly beneath the arch of a typical Venetian bridge, whose stone architecture provides the perfect protective frame for the scene. I was inspired by the tranquillity away from the tourist crowds and the almost meditative movement that has determined the rhythm of this city for centuries. The atmosphere is profound, calm and characterised by a classic elegance. The image conveys a message of permanence and the deep connection between people, craftsmanship and water. Technically, the shot uses the shadows under the bridge to create a strong graphic silhouette, while the reflections on the water's surface provide a lively dynamic of light. By foregoing colour, the focus is directed entirely to the shapes – the swing of the gondola and the arch of the bridge.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
