Lichens often show all kinds of shapes, you can look endlessly and always see something different in them. Originally, this photo was taken from a piece of granite with small plants growing on it (lichens).
The stones were in a nature reserve in Portugal: Cromeleque dos Almendres, where large boulders stand upright in a large circle. The stones have been there for centuries and are therefore overgrown with lichens.
I was captivated by the beautiful shapes and colors and immediately started taking pictures.
With a little digital adjustment, this was the result.
the photo would look beautiful on a soft blue or dark blue wall .
