Almere Architecture on canvas, poster, wallpaper and ArtFrame by Liam Wolf

With this series of black-and-white photos of Almere’s architecture, I want to present the city in a different light. Almere is often seen as “ugly” and unappealing, but through the play of contrasts and textures, I show how modern and international the architecture truly is. The black-and-white treatment emphasizes the form, structure, and aesthetics of the buildings, bringing out their unique character. As a born and bred resident of Almere, this is my personal vision of the city. I see Almere as a place full of surprises and possibilities, and this series reflects my perspective on the beauty of its architecture. I hope that my work inspires others to view Almere with fresh eyes.
