Birds of prey the Hawk on canvas, poster, wallpaper and ArtFrame by Loek Lobel

The goshawk (Accipiter gentilis) is a medium-sized bird of prey of the hawk family. An adult specimen can be between 49 and 66 cm in length. A hawk has short, broad wings and a long, almost rectangular tail. An adult hawk has a white line above the eye, a black crown and dark feathers in the ear region. The plumage of a male is brown at the top and pale white at the bottom with thin gray stripes. The female is much larger with slate-gray plumage at the top and gray at the bottom. A young hawk has brown plumage above and is streaked brown below. In addition, the white eye stripe is less noticeable. Photographed at the Falcon Birds of Prey
