Davos Memories on canvas, poster, wallpaper and ArtFrame by MaartenCPhotos

This collection consists of photographs that are personally connected to Davos in Switzerland. When I was eight years old, I spent six weeks in a hospital there because of my asthma. Because of that, Davos became meaningful to me at a young age. Later, I continued to return there with my family, often during the autumn holidays, so the place became linked not only to illness and recovery, but also to memories, nature and calm. Around the Davosersee, there are forests where squirrels and birds can be seen up close. The animals are wild, but used to quiet visitors, which creates special moments: a squirrel on a branch, a bird among the leaves or a gaze that lingers for just a second. For me, this series is about returning to a place that has become familiar and meaningful. In these images, Davos is not just a landscape, but a memory.
