STREET ART / URBAN ART
This album features my street art and urban mixed-media artworks. In these pieces, I combine the raw aesthetic of weathered walls and street culture with painting, photography, collage, and various mixed-media techniques. I draw inspiration from peeling paint, weathered concrete, old posters, lettering, text, graffiti, rust, and other traces of an environment shaped by time. I recreate these elements as the foundation for my paintings, then build upon them layer by layer using acrylics, oils, charcoal, ink, pencil, and other materials. My own photography and various types of paper may also be incorporated into the work. Combining these materials and techniques results in paintings rich in structure, texture, and intricate detail. Some works are colorful and expressive, while others are understated and almost monochromatic. Human figures often play a key role, providing contrast, a sense of familiarity, and a narrative element. My street art pieces are not literal depictions of a street or city. My focus is primarily on the atmosphere and beauty of weathered surfaces—the layers that accumulate over time, revealing new details the longer you look. Most of the works in this album are original, handmade pieces created on canvas, board, or paper. Each work is unique, built from a combination of materials, layers, textures, and imagery.
