The World is Losing Color
The World Is Losing Its Colors is a surreal triptych about the transience, beauty, and vulnerability of nature. At the heart of all three works is the same process: animals slowly watch their colorful environment disappear. Less and less remains of a vibrant, living world. Nature withers, colors fade, and the animals are forced to survive in a world that gradually loses its beauty. Each work takes place in a different environment. In the first part, among branches and leaves, animals seek shelter in the last remaining colorful parts of their habitat. In the second part, the story moves beneath the surface, where a pufferfish slowly loses its color while sharks try to protect it. In the third part, a macaw takes center stage, surrounded by roses that slowly wither, symbolizing its health and vitality. The roses return throughout the triptych as a symbol of life, vulnerability, and the well-being of the animals.
