My name is Alexander Bouwland. I'm a photographer from Curaçao, currently based in the Netherlands. Ever since I was young kid I have had a love for technology, from playing video games, to working with computers, to fixing random tech for my parents. After meeting a friend in middle school he got me in to Adobe Photoshop. Starting with graphic design, we challenged and pushed each other to grow, which marked the beginning of my creative journey.
Over time my passion for graphic design faded, but I still needed an outlet for my creativity. It was around this time that people around me started buying cameras and suddenly photography became accessible. In whatever time I had, I would study the art of photography, all the while saving up for my first camera.
Ever since I moved to the Netherlands my interest in photography has blossomed into a passion. Since then I have often worked on architecture, landscape, street and event photography.
