From a young age, I have been fascinated by nature and its beauty. Only later did I start focusing on capturing it through photographs. Initially, these were simple snapshots of things I found beautiful. During the following years, I challenged myself to improve the quality of my photos. Especially photos of others have always been an inspiration to improve myself. By studying many books, tutorials and magazines, I taught myself what I apply now. My photographic style is characterised as expansive, colourful and expressive. Many photos in my portfolio were taken with a wide-angle lens during sunrise or sunset. Through my photos, I want to show the beauty of nature and especially the Dutch landscape, which I think is unjustly undervalued. Besides landscapes, I also photograph other subjects in nature such as insects and other animals, plants and mushrooms. The real exceptions are some architecture and city photos. As I do not own a car myself, I have mainly made the area around my hometown of Eindhoven my working area. In the course of time, I have discovered several fascinating photo locations here, outside the generally known areas such as the Strabrechtse heather and Kampina.
