I think one of the great things about landscape photography is that you can take a different photo in the same location every time. I had visited this spot before and went back to it this week on good luck, as I did not know how the heather would be in bloom there. Arriving at dusk, it took a while to find the spot with the tree that appealed to me. Luck seemed to be on my side as there were some cirrus clouds in the sky. As expected, the clouds turned a beautiful red before the sun came up, but in hindsight the photo I had in mind didn't quite come out. Who knows, I may have to go back to this spot a few more times, but that's something for next year.
