About the artwork

The digital artwork "Traffic cop in New York" captures a hushed moment in the dynamics of the big city. At the centre of the image is a female traffic cop of colour. She wears a white-coloured cap and gloves, and over her dark police uniform a fluorescent safety jacket. Her gaze is downcast, giving an impression of concentration, fatigue or perhaps a brief moment of rest.
The background shows a building under construction: scaffolding, bare concrete structures and two construction workers continuing their working day while walking. These workers, somewhat faded and in motion, form a contrast to the agent's stately, steady stance. In front of them is a wide, almost plain brown-tinted tarmac road - empty, with no traffic, giving the image an unexpected calm.
The agent's long shadow falls sharply on the asphalt, diagonally and deeply, suggesting morning or late afternoon. The light accentuates the texture of the street and reinforces the lone but powerful presence of the cop.
The absence of traffic, sky or other visual distractions forces the gaze to the human: to the working woman keeping order in a city in constant change. The work raises questions about visibility, authority and the role of women in public, often male-dominated spaces.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
