The digital artwork *Our Bathroom* captures an everyday scene with remarkable precision and symbolism. On a brown-tinted mirror, everyday grooming products are carefully arranged: a can of Trekpleister shaving cream, a small spray bottle of aftershave, a tube of Sensodyne toothpaste and an electric toothbrush. In front of this arrangement lies a Gilette razor, casual but meaningful, as if it had just been laid out. The mirror reflects these objects almost perfectly, creating a subtle play of symmetry and ambiguity. Each object is recognisable, functional and familiar - symbols of daily routines, of care and hygiene, but also of personal identity.
The warm, brownish glow of the mirror gives the image a nostalgic and intimate atmosphere, as if we were entering a private world. The most intriguing element, however, is the eye at the top, which dangles from a chain and seems to observe everything. This floating eye raises questions about control, privacy and the gaze of the other - or perhaps our own. It literally hangs above daily rituals, like an omniscient witness to our most vulnerable, unadorned existence.
The composition plays with contrasts: between the functional and the symbolic, between the visible and the reflected, between the banal and the mystical. *Our Bathroom* is an ode to the everyday, but also a subtle meditation on identity, self-care and the invisible eyes that follow our daily lives. An intimate, aesthetic snapshot in which nothing seems accidental.
