his scene caught my eye because of the contrast of light and shade. Early August and the Italian sun is hot and merciless, beating down on the exposed part of this old building in Paciano, Umbria, Italy. But a large tree grows in the garden and provides the relief of cool shade to the lower part of the building. The building is set back from the road, with a private entrance and there are brick bollards to prevent parking in front. This photograph has been given a watercolour effect.
