I created this watercolour based on a photograph I took myself. The painting shows a jump in the water, captured precisely in that brief, weightless moment just before the dive. By combining the soft tones of watercolour with clear pencil lines, I wanted to contrast the tension of the body and fluid movement with the calmness and depth of the water's surface.
For me, this work is not only about capturing a physical movement, but also about the feeling of freedom and surrender that comes with such a jump. It is a moment when everything stops for a moment: the air, the water and thoughts. The watercolour translates that experience into an image that is at once powerful and serene.
