A digital painting based on a photo I took on a bright summer day in Amsterdam.
For a moment, it seemed like there were no people to be seen in the streets at the moment I captured the image.
This puts the emphasis on some typical features of the Amsterdam streetscape such as the facades, the bicycles against the railing and the canals with their bridges.
The green foliage, the shining sun: it exudes the atmosphere of a city at the end of a busy summer day.
