I took this photo at Het Leesten near Ugchelen near Apeldoorn. As you can see the heather was blooming when I took this picture, it was also nice and sunny. I have chosen to put only 1 branch with flowers in focus, the purple one on the right is also a heather branch but out of focus. I chose this twig because it is relatively free standing and was also directly along a path, the blurred twig in the foreground is a nice addition. Even though this photo was taken with a macro lens, it became more of a close-up. If you look closely you can see the pistils of the flowers.
