About the artwork
"A radiant Gerbera in warm colours" is a photo of a gorgeous Gerbera that has a colour gradient from yellow to orange in the petals. This makes the Gerbera very warm in colour and appearance. The background of this photo has a dark moss green colour that feels natural but is not too present. This makes the Gerbera stand out in the foreground.
The focus in this photo is on the piece of heart that you can see well, the back part. Because I chose a relatively shallow depth of field in this photo, you look past the fuzzy front leaves to the heart where the focus is. If you zoom in, you can see this clearly. A relatively small depth of field creates a sense of depth in the photo, but also adds calmness to the picture.
Gerbera's are one of my favourite flowers to photograph. This is mainly because of the many colours they have and because the shape of the flower is a typical drawing of a flower for me.
This work could, for example, hang beautifully as a wall decoration in the waiting room, bedroom, hall or just above the sofa in the living room! Also beautiful on the wall in a meeting room (business).
