This picture is from the Leuvenum brook (Hierdense beek). This stream flows through the Leuvenum forest. They have canalized the Leuvenum brook in the past for the water mills that stood along the brook. The water mills are gone, you can see that the brook is straightened. Natural monuments like the water board are working to bring back the natural course of the stream.
