About the artwork

Near the Hindeloopen beach pavilion in the province of Friesland are these bollards/wave breakers in the IJsselmeer. The beautiful sunset in summer casts a beautiful glow over the still waters near the IJsselmeer. The sturdy row of bollards reflect in the mirror-smooth surface under a sky that gently colours from blue to orange and pink. Ee peaceful and serene Frisian landscape caught in the golden hour. Hindeloopen, or Hylpen in Frisian, is a beautiful and charming town in the province of Friesland located directly on the IJsselmeer. It is known for its maritime history, unique culture and picturesque appearance. Hindeloopen was an important trading town in the 17th and 18th centuries, with thriving shipping and trade with countries around the Baltic Sea.
The IJsselmeer is a lake in the centre of the Netherlands, created after the Zuiderzee was closed off by the Afsluitdijk in 1932. It is the largest lake in the Netherlands and plays an important role in water management, recreation and nature in the Netherlands. Unlike the former Zuiderzee, the IJsselmeer is a freshwater lake. This has led to a change in flora and fauna.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
