About the artwork
This is an extraordinary abstract artwork. An artwork executed in black and white with a geometric pattern. An artwork with white lines that all disappear towards the centre. Between the white lines are triangles in black with special structures on them. Structures with a crinkled pattern. Structures present in random shapes on the triangles.
What is it you are looking at? What does your imagination tell you here? Perhaps your imagination can recognise something in the abstract crinkled shapes?
This black and white artwork is based on a photograph of a utensil from my kitchen. Photographing ordinary objects from everyday life, and things we probably all have around the house, is something I find a fun challenge to do. I like to use these photos of ordinary objects to create extraordinary works of art.
The photo I took here has been digitally duplicated and deformed several times. As a final result, this unusual geometric work of art was thus created.
All shapes and lines in this black-and-white artwork disappear towards the centre. This centre point draws your attention.
It is a dizzying pattern that creates the illusion of being in a tunnel. As if you are pulled into the tunnel at a tremendous speed.
In short, an extraordinary abstract work of art that continues to captivate and fascinate!
