About the artwork
Gold and green play the leading roles in this colourful and abstract artwork. It is a beautiful interplay between the chic and shiny gold on one side and the natural and soothing green on the other.
This artwork was created by combining a number of different photos.
I find this combining photos and thus creating unusual and abstract works of art super fun to do. I do this mainly only with my camera and not digitally. For me, the digital process after taking the photo is often just emphasising the shapes or colours so that the final photo becomes even more appealing.
I get my inspiration from ordinary things around me. And those ordinary things can often be found in everyone's home. These do not have to be photogenic things. After all, all kinds of objects from our daily lives can be a source of inspiration. They all have their own structure, colour, shape and pattern. These aspects excite my imagination and challenge me.
So for this abstract artwork in green and gold, I also used an ordinary utensil. By taking several photos of this, holding my camera in different positions, this special artwork was created.
The curved lines end up forming a beautiful pattern and the combination of the chic gold and natural green give this image a luxurious feel.
