This aircraft was built by the Germans during the Second World War and has survived the war. The aircraft has been restored and is ready to fly. The owner is the Military Aviation Museum.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was a German fighter. It was first used during the Spanish Civil War in 1937 and was in use by the German Luftwaffe and its allies during the Second World War. When the aircraft was first used, it was one of the most advanced aircraft in the world. The aircraft had a monocoque construction all metal, retractable landing gear and a closed cockpit. With approximately 34,000 aircraft produced, the Bf 109 is the most produced fighter ever.
