This world map is a hand-painted watercolour in an expressionist style, using the "wet on wet" painting technique with highly colourful and contrasting hues.

All the colours in this map have a clear connection to the climate of the country or continent. Alaska is cold and has a blue colour. North and Central Africa is dry and is Yellow Orange and Light Green. South Africa is very forested and has Green hues.
South America and Asia are tropical and forested with many jungles and have green and dark green colours. North America is a mix of green, yellow and orange. And Australia is Orange and has Green coastlines.

World maps are real 'story starters' and make for fun and interesting conversations both at home and in the office about the beautiful places we have visited.

The original painting has been photographed in high resolution and graphically edited for colour and contrast.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
