Doc Longhorn was the most dangerous outlaw of the Wild West. Many a bank and stagecoach robbery stands to his name. People whispered his name with a mixture of admiration and fear, for his reputation was steeped in blood and violence. Doc's left hand was disfigured by a gunfight with the sheriff of Lone Pine Gulch, who almost got him. Years passed and every time the marshals got close, Doc Longhorn slipped through their fingers like a shadow. But after about a decade of terror and mayhem, Doc suddenly disappeared off the radar. Some said he had died in a final duel, others claimed he had stashed away his loot and retired to a remote ranch, but either way, the legend of Doc Longhorn lived on in the stories passed on at the campfires.
