Antwerp Centraal railway station, which was built in the 19th century, still features architectural details from that time. The roof structure, which consists of individual riveted segments, as was common at the turn of the century, spans the entire width of the track system in an arch.
You would almost expect to see snorting steam locomotives here, but the modern trains bring the viewer back to the present and bridge the gap between history and modernity.
