Interwoven lines over shimmering memories:
"Arles (2023)" captures the view of the roofs of the old town - taken during the photo festival and overdrawn with gestural lines and an openwork colour bar. The yellow stripe divides the image like a band of sunlight, while the fine black lines scan through space and time.
The work oscillates between site study and abstract mental image - architecture is not depicted here, but remembered. A piece of Arles as it is remembered: fleeting, warm, moving.
