The brown pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis) is a small pelican found in the Americas. It is one of the best known and most prominent birds found in the coastal areas of the southern and western United States. It is one of only three pelican species found in the Western Hemisphere. The brown pelican is one of the only two pelican species which feeds by diving into the water.
The brown pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis), also known as the brown pelican or - more rarely - the sea pelican, is a large water bird that is native to the coasts of North, Central and South America and belongs to the pelican family (Pelecanidae).

Brown pelicans are excellent swimmers, but their walk on land seems awkward. Their long wings make brown pelicans extremely persistent and graceful flyers, and groups of brown pelicans are often seen flying in formations just above the water surface.

Of a total of eight species of pelicans, the brown pelican, together with the Chilean pelican (P. thagus), which is closely related to it, is the only one that dives into the water to catch fish. In addition, both species are also the only pelicans that live exclusively in marine waters and have predominantly dark plumage.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
