Autumn atmosphere on the Danube Canal in Vienna
The Danube Canal is one of my favourite walks in Vienna. Although Vienna lies on the Danube, it is very far from the city centre due to the former flood situation. In the 19th century, a side arm was regulated and turned into the Danube Canal. This borders directly on the city centre, the 1st district. Although it is fortified with stones to withstand the floods, there are also some trees and when these trees change colour in autumn, they create a wonderful harmonious connection with the water.
This picture is from my series 'wie gemalt' (as if painted) and is worked in the style of a painting.
