About ‘Azadi Tower’ by Maarten Verhees

The Azadi Tower (Freedom Tower), formerly known as the Shahyad Tower, is a monument on Azadi Square in Tehran, Iran. It is one of the sights of Tehran and marks the western entrance to the city, and is part of the Azadi Cultural Complex, which also includes an underground museum. The tower is about 45 metres long and is fully clad in carved marble. It was commissioned by Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran, on the occasion of the 2500th year of the establishment of the imperial state of Iran. after winning a competition, architect Hossein Amanat was commissioned to design the tower. His ideas were based on classical and post-classical Iranian architecture, popular influences on art in the 1960s after the White Revolution. Iran's increasing wealth led to modernisation programmes and brought the art industry into a renaissance-like period.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
