Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Bannalpsee’ by Edwin Kooren

Bannalpsee
The mountain landscape surrounding the Bannalpsee, an idyllic reservoir in the municipality of Wolfenschiessen in the canton of Nidwalden, Switzerland. In the foreground, you can see a small wooden bridge spanning a babbling stream (the Bannalpbach), surrounded by green alpine meadows and coniferous trees. In the background, the rugged, partly cloud-shrouded mountain peaks that are characteristic of this region in Central Switzerland loom large. The Bannalpsee lies at an altitude of 1,587 metres and is a popular destination for walkers and nature lovers, accessible by cable car from Oberrickenbach.

What makes Bannalpsee special? A peaceful alternative: Unlike the better-known, busier Swiss lakes, Bannalpsee is a real insider’s tip. It is wonderfully peaceful and surrounded by rugged mountain peaks. Walking: There is an easy circular walk of about an hour around the lake. For experienced walkers, the famous Walenpfad towards Engelberg starts here.For families: The Zwärgliweg (the ‘dwarves’ trail’) starts at the mountain station; this themed route is great fun for children. Facilities: Around the lake are charming mountain guesthouses (such as the Berggasthaus Bannalpsee) and various public fire pits with free wood for barbecuing.
