High on my list was to photograph a Barn Owl. But that's something you can't just do, let alone succeed at. At a Local Dutch photographer who has put a lot of time and energy into offering such an opportunity for photographers. Think of an old hay barn at a farmer's house and at some distance and loft height a hut. The photographer has managed, with caution and without disturbing the owls, to attach lights that provide a little bit of the necessary light to photograph the owls, albeit with a low shutter speed and high iso and camera on a tripod. Then strictly not using this light for longer than necessary and not staying there for more than a few hours.
Eventually we succeeded and then also two owls next to each other, amazing. Probably an older owl and a slightly younger owl considering the colour of the younger owl is not quite up to colour yet.
When you have been photographing for more than 50 years, you can talk about a passion.
