Bell Boeing CV-22B Osprey in action during RIAT.
The V-22 Osprey is the first aircraft in the world to be developed and mass-produced under the so-called tiltrotor concept. This means that the vertical lift of a helicopter is combined with the high forward speed and also the longer range of a normal twin-engine turboprop aircraft. The aircraft was developed by the firms Bell and Boeing.
