Ben Nevis is Britain's highest mountain and is located in the Highlands of Scotland near Fort William. Seen from the west, it is a semi-circular hump but the north-east face is unapproachable. This North Face is climbed alpinistically in winter and in summer is also the terrain of the experienced mountaineer. Don't underestimate the 'Tourist Track' on the west side either. You can do this one on foot. It just takes all day and when a nice spring sun shines down below, it can be freezing at the summit with a real snowstorm.
