'The Corpach Shipwreck' or 'The Boat of Caol' ? The inhabitants of both places will probably never agree on what to call this shipwreck. A photogenic beached boat in Loch Linnhe with Fort William and Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain, in the background. This relic of British shipping, the slow decline of wood and steel simply demanded a powerful black-and-white rendering. The weather was rough and changeable, as is often the case at the beginning of the Great Glen and where the elements rule life on the west coast of Scotland. So did the longevity of this shipwreck.
