It was one early morning when I was walking through this beautiful birch forest, near Brasov, Romania
It was mid-October, so the autumn colors were at their best. There was a slight breeze, which caused some of the leaves to move. This gives the image a playful character and variety, among all the sharp ones.
It took some time to find a composition in which the white/silver birch trees were as far apart as possible, creating a calm image.
The trees are on a slope, allowing the yellow leaves to show across all layers of the image. The early sunlight creates a nice bright image, making the yellow leaves stand out even more.
The trunks of the trees create a nice height effect, making the space where you hang this sculpture immediately look larger,
