This Japanese ornamental cherry Prunus 'Accolade' is a compact, spherical tree that does not grow taller than 6 metres, making it ideal for small and medium-sized gardens. This ornamental tree flowers profusely in large clusters and early in March and April with pretty pink flowers. This tree species is a gestation tree for bees and/or bumblebees and a host plant for butterflies. This beautiful garden tree is known for low maintenance.
Prunus Serrulata Kanzan (Sierker) is almost the best-known Japanese Sierker. This ornamental tree blooms profusely in April/May with pink blossoms hanging in clusters from the tree. Prunus Serrulata Kanzan rarely forms fruits and therefore attracts fewer birds. Ideal for the terrace or your seating area. The tree is suitable for smaller gardens and parks and does well in all types of soil, provided it is not too wet.
