About ‘Blue-green tranquillity in the woods’ by SR Blaauw
A forest reduced to colour, light and movement. The vertical lines of the tree trunks blend into one another in deep shades of blue, turquoise and green. The deliberate motion blur lends the image a painterly and almost abstract quality.
Fine, light streaks stand out amongst the dark trunks. Tiny points of light seem to float…

My name is Sijtze Blaauw. I am an image-capturer. I capture images with my camera. I capture what my mind sees and feels. Sometimes the image comes straight out of my camera. Sometimes it needs a bit of tweaking using modern techniques. But the image is always an interpretation of my reality, as I see and experience it.
