This extravagant, blue-tinted still life with dried rose petals and various maritime artefacts such as shells is reminiscent of a surreal lunar landscape. The viewer is transported into a fictitious dream world that resembles an alien, strange surface of the earth.
The individual pieces such as roses, leaves, salt crystals and shells were arranged like a collage on my old vintage-style wooden kitchen table.
The colours were then edited in Photoshop.
