About "Bogdana portrait with fabric in b/w"

About the artwork

This is a portrait with veil of Bogdana. An 18-year-old girl who posed for me on 26 June 2022. She did so for the first time. She lived with her mother in a flat somewhere in Germany. Fled from Ukraine before the war. There she was a recognised dancer who performed in theatres. Now she was standing naked in front of an unknown photographer in a small village near Roermond, thousands of kilometres from where she came from. I was moved by her beauty and purity. I like to work with veils, creating a layered reality. In this photograph, I see the horrors of war forcing a young woman to interrupt the life she was leading. In this picture, I also see a young woman determined to let the flower she holds within her shine in the sun.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
