Bow of ships as art in the harbor.
The ships are sailing works of art. Not are the ships technically a work of art but also with the marks on their hulls.
The rawness of the ships' hulls attracts me. The rusty spots on their bow or sides. The rough welds they are put together with. If you look closely you can see small traces of vegetation on the hull. The drag marks from retrieving the anchors.
The anchor chains going up along the bow as they are raised when the ship is allowed to enter port. Ships sometimes lie waiting in the background for days when there is no room.
And those very tracks are beautiful to see and I like to photograph them. In the bright sunlight or in the dark stormy light.
Raw and the harbor as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbor is another world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships the people the landscape it continues to fascinate me.
