About the artwork

I took this photo during my city trip to Berlin. The Brandenburg Gate is an absolute highlight of the city and was at the top of my list to photograph. I converted this photo to black and white which gives a beautiful dramatic effect. The lack of colour puts the focus on contrast and makes the building's clean lines stand out. The sky also became extra dramatic and the cloud in the middle draws the eye towards the sculpture with the horses.

Photographing the Brandenburg Gate with a wide-angle lens and converting it to black and white produces an impressive result through the combination of depth, scale and context provided by the lens. This lens emphasises the grandeur and architectural details of the monument. The black-and-white conversion adds timeless character and emotional depth, emphasises contrasts and details, and reduces visual distractions. This results in a visually appealing image that captures the grandeur and historical significance of the Brandenburg Gate in a unique and artistic way.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
