The old walls, the light falling in through the huge window of the church which gives an angel-like effect on the horse. This setting combined with a horse gives a surreal and serene image which I like very much. The horse in the picture is the Spanish stallion preferido, also called an Andalusian or a PRE ( pura raza espanola ). He is the sweetest, most beautiful, kindest horse I know and I always feel there is a wisdom and goodness behind those big dark eyes of his. He was therefore the perfect model for this picture.
The serene atmosphere of this place, with its high windows and soft light, gave this moment something magical. The contrast between the robust, centuries-old walls and Preferido's elegant, graceful look is what makes this photo so special to me. As if strength and fragility come together in one image. The way the light falls on his white coat gives him an almost dreamy, timeless look.
This work fits beautifully in a modern, minimalist interior, where it adds tranquillity and elegance. Its soft tones and serene character also make it perfect for a bedroom or a stylish living room. In a classic or country interior, the picture will harmonise beautifully with natural materials such as wood, linen and earth tones. In addition, this piece is a wonderful eye-catcher in an office or practice space, where it brings a sense of calm and sophistication.
