Bread dough is a mixture of flour or meal (especially that made from wheat is very suitable), some water or milk, salt and often yeast, intended to make bread. Although batter contains much more moisture and other forms of dough often contain much more fat, eggs and sugar, there are all sorts of transitions, such as dough for muffin, poffert, Polish poppy seed bread and scone.
